Review schedule

Event-driven after major CZSO and CNB releases, with monthly completeness checks.

The review cadence is part of the dataset methodology. Material events can trigger an earlier update.

What the research currently shows

The index is structured around observation periods and revisions so readers can distinguish when data were measured from when they were reported.

Industrial production, inflation, wages, GDP, trade and investment are treated as separate release families rather than one generic economy feed.

Questions this dataset is built to answer

  • What observation period sits behind each headline economic figure?
  • Is the number seasonally adjusted, nominal, real or year-on-year?
  • Was a previous release revised?
  • Which primary CZSO, CNB or ministry series should future reporting continue to reference?

Observation period

The month, quarter or year measured by the underlying dataset, which can differ from article publication date.

Revision

A later official update to a previously published value.

Primary release

The official statistical or central-bank publication from which the reported figure originates.

Source hierarchy

  1. Primary official sources, company filings, regulator publications and operator disclosures are preferred for factual dataset records.
  2. High-quality wire reporting or specialist trade reporting with an explicit attributable source trail may be used where it adds a dated physical-project fact not available in a practical first-party source.
  3. Secondary press, estimates and promotional claims are not promoted into dataset facts unless their status and provenance are clearly labelled.

Data quality controls

  • Observation date and publication date are kept distinct where the underlying fact is time-sensitive.
  • Announced, planned, under-construction and operating states are not collapsed into one status.
  • Parent programme IDs distinguish child-site milestones from wider investment programmes so nested values are not silently double counted.
  • Reported results, management guidance, analyst opinions and policy targets remain separate evidence classes.
  • Missing values remain missing rather than being filled with inferred or modelled estimates.
  • Historical observations preserve earlier stated values and milestones rather than silently replacing them with the newest figure.
  • Material revisions are recorded so later updates do not erase the historical basis of an earlier observation.
Revision history

8 Sep 2026: added observation-period and revision controls for official Czech data releases.

Evidence timeline

These dated observations preserve additional evidence about how investment commitments, project stages, regulatory milestones and ecosystem measures changed over time. They are not treated as additional current totals. Where a later disclosure supersedes an earlier figure, both observations remain visible with their dates and source context.

Dataset methodology

Scope

CBR economy reporting tied to official Czech macroeconomic, industrial, labour, trade or investment releases.

Inclusion criteria

A record must cite an identifiable official or primary source and preserve the observation period behind the headline number.

Exclusions and limitations

Pure opinion pieces and articles without a dated economic release or primary dataset are excluded.

Revision policy

The index is rebuilt from the publication archive as new qualifying reporting is added. Historical article dates and source attribution remain unchanged; new observations are appended rather than backfilled with inferred facts.

Reuse and attribution

Journalists, researchers and analysts may quote figures with attribution to Czech Business Review, the dataset version and review date. For substantial republication, chart reuse or data licensing, contact editor@czechbusinessreview.com.
