15 Czech Startups to Watch in 2027

Czechia's startup scene is no longer defined by a handful of export successes. The ecosystem now spans enterprise software, artificial intelligence, financial crime prevention, travel technology, developer infrastructure and industrial automation, with Prague and Brno acting as the main hubs. CzechStartups, the state-backed ecosystem portal, notes that Czechia remained the strongest startup ecosystem in Central Europe in StartupBlink's 2026 index even as faster-growing countries narrowed the gap.

For this list, Czech Business Review has prioritised companies with a clear Czech founding story or operating base, a product that can scale internationally and evidence of real market traction. It is not a valuation ranking. The point is to identify businesses whose next stage could matter to founders, investors, technology buyers and employers following the Czech market.

The 15 companies

Mews remains one of the clearest examples of Czech software becoming global infrastructure. The Prague-founded hospitality platform sells property-management technology to hotels and has expanded through both product development and acquisitions. Productboard is another established name: its product-management platform is used internationally and CzechStartups lists it among the country's flagship startup success stories.

Rossum has built a global business around intelligent document processing, using AI to extract and validate data from invoices and other business documents. Resistant AI attacks a related problem from the security side, helping financial institutions detect document fraud and suspicious transaction patterns. Better Stack, meanwhile, is building observability and incident-management software for engineering teams, an area with a naturally global customer base.

Keboola is one of the Czech data ecosystem's most durable companies, providing a cloud data platform that increasingly incorporates AI-assisted workflows. Apify has turned web data extraction and automation into a developer platform used far beyond Czechia. Make, originally founded in Prague as Integromat, remains one of the country's best-known automation products and is now part of Celonis.

The next group is more sector-specific. Neuron Soundware applies machine learning and acoustic analysis to predictive maintenance in industrial equipment. Blindspot AI, part of Adastra, builds production AI systems for large organisations. RoboTwin is developing no-code industrial robotics, while Tatum provides infrastructure for blockchain developers and has repeatedly attracted international capital.

Travel and commerce still matter too. Kiwi.com remains a globally recognised Czech-founded travel technology company built around virtual interlining. Rohlik Group has taken the Czech online-grocery model into several European markets under different brands. Finally, Oddin.gg has built a B2B esports-betting technology platform from Prague, showing that Czech software expertise is also reaching specialist sports and gaming markets.

What connects the strongest Czech startups

The common theme is not one sector. It is the decision to treat Czechia as an engineering and product base rather than the limit of the addressable market. The strongest companies typically sell in English, raise internationally, hire across borders and target customers whose buying decisions have little to do with where the software was written.

That model also explains why enterprise AI and B2B SaaS are so prominent. Czechia has a deep technical labour pool, relatively high software-engineering density and direct access to larger DACH and EU markets. For 2027, the companies most worth watching are those that can convert those structural advantages into repeatable distribution, not simply those generating the loudest funding headlines.
