20 Czech AI Companies and Startups You Should Know

Czechia's artificial-intelligence market is broader than the best-known Prague startups. The Czech AI Association's ecosystem map lists companies across enterprise AI, finance, healthcare, industrial systems, data automation, legal technology and ecommerce. Separate 2026 ecosystem work also points to dozens of active AI businesses, with Prague as the largest cluster and Brno an important secondary centre.

The most credible Czech AI companies tend to solve narrow operational problems rather than sell generic 'AI transformation'. That makes the ecosystem particularly relevant to business buyers: document processing, fraud detection, predictive maintenance, medical imaging, recommendation, data pipelines and speech technology are all areas where Czech teams have built deployable products.

Enterprise AI and financial workflows

Rossum is the country's most internationally visible document-AI company. Founded by researchers with CTU roots, it automates extraction and validation from invoices and other business documents. Resistant AI focuses on financial crime, using machine learning to identify document fraud and suspicious behaviour in financial workflows.

Blindspot AI builds production AI systems for large organisations and says it has delivered hundreds of projects across sectors. Keboola provides data infrastructure that increasingly acts as the operating layer beneath analytics and AI workflows. GoodAI remains one of the country's longest-running organisations explicitly focused on artificial intelligence research and applications.

Other enterprise specialists include DataSentics, BigHub, Datamole and Geneea. Their work spans machine-learning delivery, data engineering, natural-language processing and custom enterprise systems. Recombee has built a recommendation API used by digital products to personalise content and commerce experiences.

Industrial, voice and healthcare AI

Neuron Soundware is a strong example of Czech industrial AI. Its systems analyse sound and other machine signals to detect faults and improve predictive maintenance. RoboTwin applies AI and no-code tooling to industrial robotics, while SpaceKnow uses satellite imagery and machine learning for economic and industrial intelligence.

Speech and language are another Czech strength. Phonexia, founded from Brno University of Technology research, develops voice biometrics and speech analytics. MAMA AI works on language and conversational systems. Feedyou builds conversational automation for recruitment and customer processes.

Healthcare includes companies such as Aireen, which applies AI to retinal screening, Carebot in medical imaging, Kardi AI in remote cardiac monitoring and MAIA Labs in clinical decision-support software. These companies sit in a more regulated category than general SaaS, so adoption depends as much on validation and healthcare integration as on model performance.

What to watch next

The Czech opportunity is not likely to come from training a frontier foundation model that competes directly with the largest US labs. It is more plausible in specialised systems that sit close to regulated data, industrial workflows and enterprise software, where domain knowledge and integration matter as much as raw model scale.

That should favour Czech companies with existing customer relationships, proprietary operational data and products already embedded in business processes. As generative AI becomes cheaper and more standardised, those distribution advantages may become more valuable, not less.
